Team Lilly
Lil has had another amazing year. She moved from the low functioning room to the high functioning Autism Room. She started reading, writing and spelling this year. Lilly is able to attend regular/typical class and specialists without a Para and is responding well to going to lunch and recess with her typical class on her own.
We most recently had our first successful awake (med free) Dentist appointment that left us all speechless and beyond proud of how far she has come. It was an emotional moment for us to finally be able to reason with her and help her work through her anxiety.
Her teachers have helped Lil deal with her anxiety and have giving me great support and guidance when needed. They have giving us tools we needed to get through her anxious moments.
I can’t thank the schools enough for their help, support and guidance they have offered to our family and Lil over the years. That is why Team Lilly ~ raises monies for the Duluth Public Schools and we are looking forward to Lil starting 2nd grade in the fall. Our hope is that she keeps moving forward and we continue our team effort with her school to have another successful school year!
